DoD to resume education grants to military spouses
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Facing a phalanx of angry military spouses, the Defense Department said Thursday it will resume payments for college courses and job training for spouses who had already applied for grants when the popular program was abruptly halted last month.
The official in charge of the year-old program that pays up to $6,000 for career advancement also apologized for suspending the grants without first notifying thousands of military spouses enrolled. He said grants were halted Feb. 16 because an unexpected spike in enrollment busted the program's $174 million budget.

In a memo that was sent to students on Feb. 5, the school district laid out the criterias for bringing a date to the prom.
However, the police requires senior prom dates to be of the opposite sex. And get this, her school apparently told her that she and her date COULD go to prom but they couldn't arrive together AND she was not allowed to wear a tux. If they arrived together and Costance wore a tux, then they might make other students feel 'uncomfortable',
